Looking for a crowd-pleasing snack that's perfect for game day, parties, or a fun family dinner? Look no further than these loaded nachos! Piled high with seasoned meat, gooey cheese, and fresh toppings, they're sure to be a hit. Here's how to make them:

Ingredients

Tortilla Chips:

  • 1 large bag of tortilla chips

Meat:

  • 1 pound ground beef (or chicken)
  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix
  • 1/4 cup water

Cheese:

  • 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Beans:

  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed

Vegetables:

  • 1 large tomato, diced
  • 1/2 red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup corn kernels (fresh, frozen, or canned)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Extras:

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup guacamole
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges

Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven

Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Cook the Meat

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef (or chicken) until browned. Add the taco seasoning and water, then simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Once done, remove from heat.

3. Prepare the Baking Sheet

Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup. Spread half of the tortilla chips in an even layer on the baking sheet.

4. Layer the Ingredients

Evenly distribute half of the cooked meat, black beans, corn, and shredded cheddar cheese over the chips. Add a second layer of tortilla chips on top and repeat the layering process with the remaining meat, black beans, corn, and cheese.

5. Bake the Nachos

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

6. Add Fresh Toppings

Remove the nachos from the oven and top with diced tomatoes, red onion, green onions, and cilantro.

Serving Suggestions

Serve your loaded nachos hot, with sour cream, guacamole, and salsa on the side. Add lime wedges for an extra burst of flavor. These nachos are perfect for sharing and are sure to disappear quickly!

Tips for Perfect Nachos

  • Layering: To ensure every bite is delicious, layer your ingredients evenly. This way, each chip gets its share of toppings.
  • Cheese Melt: Keep an eye on the nachos while baking to prevent the cheese from burning. You want it melted and bubbly.
  • Customize: Feel free to customize your nachos with your favorite toppings. Jalapeños, olives, and different types of cheese can add unique flavors.

Enjoy your loaded nachos, and get ready for everyone to ask for seconds!
